Added speedrun: 201 moves (old: 216). In the past, I thought that fixing the first bots before randomly placing the rest, as in what I did for Assembly Square, would not work because of the placement of Bot 15. Looking at Dave's original solution again and thinking about it, however, leads me to think that it might actually be okay to fix the first seven bots. I also limited the bots to the first five rows in the 6x6 square. Otherwise, I followed the procedure described in my recent comment to Assembly Square, and this speedrun is the result. |

Added speedrun: 216 moves (old: 223). Using the end position my computer generated when this level fisrt came up with my hand-solved solution for the first part as input to vicinity search gives an even faster solution. |

Added speedrun: 223 moves (old: 231). It turns out that using Dave's original solution as input to my vicinity search variant gives faster solution. |

20366 | Reassembly Square | noname (559) | Wed 28 Aug 2019 04:22 | SPOILER |
Added speedrun: 231 moves (old: 239). Found by using a variant of vicinity search to shorten a hard-coded silly solution to the position given by Dave's original solution. The act of randomly generate positions failed to find good positions that seem to have short sokoban solution. For details of my variant of vicinity search, see my comment 20365 for the level #2880 "Assembly Square". |

Moved to graveyard: Deleted as pointless. Meant to do this a long time ago. |

Unless I'm much mistaken, somebody just has given this a difficulty rating of 6. Now, obviously it is unfair to adjust the rating of a level if you have had to solve it by computer (at least that's my personal take on it), so since the only two people I'm aware of who have actually solved both these levels without computer assistance are radiant and myself I would love to know who solved this that easily and why haven't they solved the original?

Now done by hand using the same method as before. In the meantime, radiant, your juggling in the editor idea cracked the Assembly Line levels in no time.

I just move the bots around in the editor when I'm looking for a solution to levels like these.

I found the bot manoeuvring frustrating on the original level so built a 'less restrictive' test level to figure it out. The speed-run on '14' and the original solution here (both probably far from optimal) are computer generated and based on noname's solution, I haven't done this one by hand yet.

Having that 15 start where it is really makes moving them around awkward (but then again, so does the original 7-wide layout over a 6x6 box). The layout from my fastest solution has a spot where 15 can go without a hitch, so there's that. |

'Reassembly Square' uploaded by Dave: The 15th bot was feeling a bit left out. |
