It's pretty confusing to discover these strange behaviors that in fact don't fallow the logic of the game itself... Did I get this right: it's impossible to create such levels by using our normal editor?

how do you make all of those malformings including this one?

The joke is pretty well lost if you're not familiar with Chip's Challenge, but the arrangement around the visible panel is meant to create the (untrue) impression that the panel actually controls a clone machine which would clone the top block into the second hole, only to ruin the illusion when the player actually goes to try it. It's also a reference to a buffer overflow exploit in that game where you can trigger effects outside the grid, and in doing so write to their memory locations which actually control game state information, and even read the memory locations into the grid as tiles. That can lead to levels far, far more nefarious than this or anything in the Malformed Levels series. |

The jig's been up on this one long enough, and I can't see it staying in the main collection much longer, so I might as well put it out there. This level contains invisible panels. Furthermore, the nature of invisible panels is such that you can't uncover them with your feet alone. |

I wouldn't so much call this "easy" or "hard" as say that it defies all sense of a difficulty rating. The first four ratings are 10, 4, 1, and 7, and I can see the merit in every one of them.

I've been able to solve it - and I'm using the latest version of Escape on Mac OS X. (By the way, the player file recovery was successful - thanks, Tom!)
